Catalog - Length of Course

1. The Cosmetology/Barber Course is 2000 clock hours; the Basic Esthetics Course is 600 clock hours; and the Master Esthetics Course is 1200 clock hours.
2. It is understood that the full-time Cosmetology/Barbering Course that is being paid for is 2000 clock hours. A student will be allowed 54 weeks to complete the 2000 clock hours, (40 hours per week for 50 weeks plus 4 weeks for holidays and absences) before being charged for extra instructional charges. The full-time Basic Esthetics Course that is being paid for is 600 clock hours allowed over 16 weeks (40 hours per week for 15 weeks plus one week for holidays and absences) before being charged for extra instructional charges. The full-time Master Esthetics Course that is being paid for is 1200 clock hours allowed over 32 weeks (40 hours per week for 30 weeks plus two weeks for holidays and absences) before being charged for extra instructional charges. The student agrees to pay extra instructional charges for each scheduled hour needed to complete the requirements beyond the calculated completion date. Extra instructional charges will be calculated according to current full tuition divided by course hours to give an hourly rate. Extra instructional charges will accrue whether or not the student actually attends. All charges will be due and payable monthly. Transfer and part-time students' calculated completion dates will be pro-rata.

Situations requiring a leave of absence may arise. In such cases the student may apply in writing during their enrollment for a leave of absence, which must be authorized in advance by Academy Management. Approved leave of absence time must be taken in succession. An authorized leave of absence will extend the calculated completion date by the length of the leave of absence. Situations eligible for a leave of absence are defined, and other details available, in the Leave of Absence Policy on file in the admissions office.

FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
Student hours, supplies and equipment will not be released until all financial obligations owed the Academy have been paid in full, including any amounts owed under any financing agreements.
